How is BOB space efficient?
Collapsible Frame (DIY Multilayered Curtain System)
BOB uses a DIY multilayered curtain system as its collapsible frame, allowing the pod to be easily opened up or folded away. When expanded, the curtains create an enclosed space that provides privacy and helps reduce noise. When not in use, they can be pushed back to collapse the pod into a compact form, making it suitable for small spaces.
Multifunctional Setup
BOB is designed to be multifunctional, serving as both a workspace and everyday furniture. When opened, it acts as a private and ergonomic work pod. When closed, it can function as a table or other usable surface, allowing users to maximise space and adapt it to different needs throughout the day.
How is BOB ergonomic?
Adjustable Furniture (Table & Seat)
BOB features an adjustable table and seat powered by linear actuators, allowing users to easily customise their setup for comfort and ergonomics. The height can be controlled using a simple physical button, making adjustments quick and intuitive. The system is designed to be robust and reliable, with the seat able to support up to 70kg and the table structure capable of handling loads of up to 600kg, ensuring stability and durability during everyday use.
How is BOB adaptable?
Adjustable Fan Speed and Lighting
BOB includes adjustable lighting and fan speed to support different activities such as meetings, reading, and relaxation. Users can easily modify the lighting intensity and airflow to suit their needs, creating a more comfortable and focused environment. The overhead light can also be switched on and off using a physical button for quick and convenient control.
App-Controlled Features
BOB is supported by an app that enhances both convenience and interaction. In Home Mode, a “knock” function allows users to send a light signal to another pod, mimicking real-world interaction without disrupting privacy. In Office Mode, a booking system helps manage usage and reduces conflicts when multiple users need access. The app also allows users to control settings such as fan speed and lighting, making the overall experience more seamless and customizable.
