Introducing Flooristick

A one-stop web app for Singapore’s floorball scene with digitised match recording, enhanced efficiency and data storage. With access to past match statistics, the user can benefit from a more comprehensive analysis of both the team and individual players. This platform is readily accessible globally, which helps promote our local athletes to talent scouts worldwide. Internally, coaches and athletes can analyse performances and track individual progress, taking competition to a higher level.

How might we streamline and elevate the Floorball community in Singapore by enhancing the process of capturing current match records, equipping coaches with advanced analytical tools, simplifying international talent scouting, and facilitating easier access to live match details?

Provides a brief background of Floorball in Singapore, including quick links to recent game highlights and upcoming matches, thereby ensuring that users stay updated on the latest events and developments.

Scoresheet

The digitalised scoresheet simplifies the process of match recording. It records main events such as goal and penalties while also tracking player actions like attempted shots, misses, blocks and saves that were previously not recorded. This comprehensive data collection enables a more in-depth analysis to determine player and team performance.

At the end of the match, a summary page in PDF format is generated to be downloaded. All recorded data are being backed up and saved in database, allowing convenient access to past match records.

Schedule

The match schedule are presented in a user-friendly calendar format, allowing easy tracking of upcoming games for both the public and officials. It also offers a clear overview of all upcoming games and teams involved to facilitate schedule planning.

Teams

The teams feature showcases both the men’s and women’s teams of SFA, including their respective team roster. Delving deeper, teams’ and individual players’ statistics are also available for viewing, allowing performance tracking. By providing insights on player’s strengths and areas of improvements, strategic planning for player development can be devised.

Rankings

Team ranking are displayed after every competition so that users can quickly assess match outcomes. In-depth match details are also available, including a match timeline featuring all the events such as goals and penalties incurred, location, and date to provide easy identifiers of when the match took place.

Ratings

The ratings consolidate performance based on events like goals, assists, penalties and best player title from every competition. By assigning different weights to each metric, a final rating for teams and individual players can be generated. This rating places them in a leaderboard, fostering healthy competition and motivating continuous improvements as players will want to be placed higher.
