The logical processing onboard the robot is driven by a Raspberry Pi Model 3B+.
The code is implemented in Python3 and is orchestrated by a systemd service to ensure the scripts are always running when the robot is powered.
The Remote Control was inspired by a normal game controller, with an LCD display.
The remote control operates a robot for panel installation or retrieval, offering precise vertical movement, panel manipulation, and image capture functions. It enables efficient control over the robot's actions, ensuring accurate operations and data capture during tasks.
The implementation of the winch system is used to drive the vertical movement of the robot. The simple pulley system is driven by a stepper motor, chosen due to its higher degree of accuracy.
The robot will automatically stop at each level when it reaches the limit switch.
Using Vue3 and Vuetify, we created a Web Application that incorporates a range of features tailored to meet the specific needs of Managers and Maintenance Workers.
These features are designed to streamline workflows, helping to track work progress and ensure a seamless user experience across different devices.
Our Team would like to thank our Capstone instructors:

At Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), we believe that the power of design roots from the understanding of human experiences and needs, to create for innovation that enhances and transforms the way we live. This is why we develop a multi-disciplinary curriculum delivered v ia a hands-on, collaborative learning pedagogy and environment that concludes in a Capstone project.
The Capstone project is a collaboration between companies and senior-year students. Students of different majors come together to work in teams and contribute their technology and design expertise to solve real-world challenges faced by companies. The Capstone project will culminate with a design showcase, unveiling the innovative solutions from the graduating cohort.
The Capstone Design Showcase is held annually to celebrate the success of our graduating students and their enthralling multi-disciplinary projects they have developed.
